Success Stories
Osprey Hill Farm
"We were struggling with inconsistent quality and nutrient content with our previous feed supplier. The effects on our animals were detrimental, and it cost us an estimated $20,000 in lost production before we reached out to Red Bridge Farm. We were specifically looking for consistency, very high quality, and a nutritional content that matched the specific needs of our pasture-based production style in our cool PNW climate."
Fortunately, we were referred to Red Bridge by another poultry producer and learned that Brad had hands-on experience with pastured poultry production, so I reached out to Brad with full confidence.
There's no comparison when it comes to the quality and integrity of Red Bridge feed. Brad always makes time to answer my questions and provide detailed explanations about the product and process involved in milling. He relies on the expertise of well-respected animal nutritionists to formulate his feed. We were thrilled to see our birds looking so robust and healthy when we switched to Red Bridge.
What continues to impress me is the attention to detail and the effort that goes into creating this feed. The grain milling and seed-oil pressing begins only after we place an order so, with Red Bridge, nutrients are always at their peak when we receive it. Customers say that our chicken tastes like REAL chicken, like it used to taste when their grandma made it. Â
It's important to us and our customers that the feed is corn-free, soy-free, and each incoming batch of grain is tested and verified to be GMO free. We're proud to share the story of Red Bridge when customers ask us about our production practices. Â

"We first reached out to Red Bridge Farm when we were starting up our pastured poultry farm in 2021. We were in search of high-quality, locally-sourced feed to supplement our chickens' diet on pasture. Brad picked up the phone and provided us with such a great experience that we did not feel the need to search any further! He was so thorough and informative in catering to our questions and needs."
One time when we ran short on Red Bridge Farm feed and were awaiting a new delivery, we bought some Scratch & Peck pellet feed to hold over our flocks. Upon feeding time that morning, the chickens rushed over the feed troughs as they normally do and then actually paused before eating. Perhaps they were perplexed at the new look of this feed, but we chalked it up to a testament of how high quality and fresh the feed is from Red Bridge Farm.
We have a whole subsect of our customer demographic that specifically buys our chickens because they are corn-free, soy-free, and non-GMO. Some of them have severe allergies and can only eat meat that is either corn-free or soy-free.Â
Beyond nutrition, our customers rave about the incredible taste of our chickens. They claim it is the best tasting and juiciest chicken they've ever eaten, and we definitely give a lot of credit to the high-quality feed milled by Red Bridge Farm.
Additionally, If we hadn't chosen to buy feed from Red Bridge Farm, we would have missed out on the opportunity of mentorship from Brad. Back in the first few years of starting up our farm, Brad was so generous with his time, answering all of our questions and giving us feedback on our farming practices. We feel so fortunate to have connected with the folks at Red Bridge Farm, and truly could not imagine willingly ordering from another feed provider.

"When I initially started buying Red Bridge feed, I was looking for locally sourced, non-GMO feed with high-quality mineral and vitamin blends, all freshly ground and mixed. Brad checked all of these boxes for us and more with his outstanding customer service and knowledge of livestock feeds."
Brad always takes the time to figure out the exact feed mix that we want and need to keep our animals healthy and thriving. Over the years we had problems with other brands not meeting the nutritional requirements our animals needed, but after switching to Red Bridge Farm feed we saw significant and immediate improvement in their health.Â

"We were looking for a high-quality feed that did not use corn or soy for our laying flock. We have a few customers who have corn or soy sensitivity and count on the eggs we produce.
Red Bridge Farm is run by an amazing family and is a Veteran owned business. They have built an amazing team to produce feed that meets our needs. As a fellow Veteran, we try to support other small Veteran owned businesses."
As a bulk buying customer, they mill our feed when we order it. We have always received fresh, clean feed every time. RBF feed is full of color. You can see the green from the legumes as well as the vivid browns from the small grains. Other produced âbig brandâ feeds from the local farm store are one tone brown and over-processed, and they are often months old by the time they are shipped and sold at our local store. In fact, we were so used to brown, pelleted feed that it was very surprising to see the color variations within the RBF feed.
Being able to buy in bulk is such a help. No more lugging 40 lb bags when we can just use the tractor to move the super sacks around. Customers are also interested in what is being fed to the animals they are purchasing from us. We will sometimes have a couple jars with us to show the difference between RBF feed and a conventional feed, and the customers are always surprised at how different they look!
It was very difficult to find a feed that was both corn-free and soy-free. We would have
had to sacrifice one of these and possibly lose some customers because of their preferences.
Brad and his team are very knowledgeable and work with a well-known animal nutritionist to formulate their feeds for maximum animal heath, gain and production. Brad has always been helpful in figuring out any issues we see in our animals and can adjust the feed if we need something special to insure flock or swine herd health.

"As farmers, we know better than most that quality inputs matter. For years, Red Bridge Farm has been our trusted partnerâand theyâve never let us down.
We run a small pastured pig, laying hen, and meat bird operation here at Wild Plum Farm in North Central Washington. Year round, we need consistent, clean, highâprotein grain to meet our bird and hog feeding targets."
Red Bridge not only delivers on the specs, but often goes above and beyond:
- Their grain arrives on time, every time, reducing stress and uncertainty.
- Their feed quality is top shelf and we appreciate their on-going efforts to improve upon recipes, consult with us on special needs and go the extra mile to insure a terrific product.
- We value the locally sourced, non-gmo ingredients and the business model of Red Bridge.
- Their customer service is top notch: they answer our calls, adjust orders flexibly, and proactively alert us to market trends or shipping constraints.
Thanks to their reliability, weâve been able to hit target yields and maintain feed consistency throughout the seasons. Our feed costs are more predictable, and we waste less due to spoilage or offâspec batches.
If youâre a farmer looking for a grain supplier that treats your operation like theirs, we wholeheartedly recommend Red Bridge Farm. Theyâre more than a vendor â theyâre a partner in the field.

"I own a small, commercial pasture poultry farm committed to providing my customers the most nutritious and delicious chicken they can buy in our area. The chicken meat I sell is premium grade meat due to:Â
- Being raised on pasture in range coops that are moved every day
- Processed on-farm by my family in my state licensed poultry processing facility
- Fed premium soy-free, corn-free, non-GMO feed."
Our local feed mill shut down last year, and I had to search the entire Pacific Northwest to find another mill that sold a similar feed.
I called other pasture poultry producers and one pointed me to Red Bridge Farms. I was relieved to find a mill that could ship directly to my farm and was committed to providing top quality, slow growth blend for broilers - exactly what I was looking for.Â
Their customer service was excellent. I spoke directly to the owner, Brad, who was extremely helpful in making sure I was ordering the exact amount I needed and planned for the entire season. Brad also called me to check in after receiving the shipment and was there to answer any questions as I was raising my broilers.Â
I received 5 shipments of 5,200 lbs of feed, and they were consistent in quality and ingredients. The shipments were conveniently delivered directly to my storage building. Red Bridge Farm was even willing to work with me on the size of sacks I needed because of the limitation of weight my tractor could lift.Â
Like other pasture poultry producers, I have struggled in the past with weight gain using corn-free, soy-free feed, but Red Bridge Farms is producing optimal feed, and I am reaching my target within 7 weeks. I am confident with the grower feed from Red Bridge Farms because the poultry nutritionist is a nationally-known expert in the pasture poultry industry. which justifies the fantastic product I have been selling to my customers.
Thank you Red Bridge Farms!

"When we first started our ranch, we knew how important it was to find the best possible feed for our animals. After all, you are what you eat! We wanted to stand out from the norm, and choosing non-GMO, locally sourced, and freshly milled feed was our way of doing so."
Red Bridge Farm's commitment to these principles is what truly sets our product apart from our competitors. It's clear that the nutritionally rich, easily digestible, non-GMO ingredients make all of the difference. We know that we made the right choice by partnering with Red Bridge Farm.

"We were looking for a reliable source of high-quality, non-GMO feed that we could confidently recommend to our customers and use for our own flocks. When we started to sell Red Bridge, it was because there wasnât another local source of corn-free, soy-free, non-GMO feed in the area. We saw a real gap we could fillâespecially since we were already bringing in the feed for our own animals and knew how well it performed."
Weâve been following along with Red Bridgeâs journey since they were just a farm raising pigs and pastured poultry, and we gave them a try as soon as they started offering feed for sale. Because they were already farmers themselves, they understood what farmers actually need from a feedâespecially those of us raising animals on pasture. Their firsthand experience and focus on quality made it an easy choice to trust their products.
Our animals perform better on Red Bridge feedâhealthier coats, steady growth, and overall improved vitality. Weâve also noticed the feed holds up better in storage and stays fresher longer. Thereâs less separation and dust compared to other feeds, which shows how much care goes into the milling and formulation.
The biggest surprise was how quickly the animals adapted and how consistent the results have been. With other feeds, quality could vary from batch to batch. With Red Bridge, everything has been steadyâour birds stay healthy, production stays up, and we donât see the usual dips that can come from switching brands.
Working with Red Bridge also made things simpler and more predictable. I know what to expect with each order, and I can recommend Red Bridge to customers at Acorn Market with full confidence. Itâs helped us provide a feed option that fits our valuesâlocal, farmer-focused, and genuinely supportive of animal health.
Without Red Bridge Farm feeds, weâd still be juggling inconsistent feed sources and spending more time troubleshooting feed-related issues. Red Bridge has taken that worry away and allowed us to focus on the bigger picture of growing our business and helping others do the same.
If you want a feed made by people who actually understand farming and care about both the animals and the farmers, Red Bridge is the one to go with. Theyâve built something really specialâfeed that works as hard as the people using it.
